About the Professional Championship
Each year, the Best Florida Beer Championships (BFBC) determines the Best Beer brewed in Florida by a blind competition using judges from the Beer Judge Certification program and the professional brewing community. By encouraging and recognizing outstanding brewers and their beer, BFBC hopes to provide a focal point for advertising craft-brewed beer in Florida. Winning beers (or other merchandise representing the winning brewers) will be displayed at the State Fair alongside the annual wine display and the gold medal-winning beers will be featured at the Brewers Ball in February. Proceeds from the commercial competition will be used to promote craft brewing in the state of Florida.
Although the Best Florida Beer Championships works to support the Florida Brewers Guild, the two are separate organizations with similar goals.
