Each beer will be judged by a panel of three people, pooled from professional brewers and from the Beer Judge Certification Program (BJCP) consisting of judges ranked "certified" or higher .Emphasis will be on how good is the craft-brewed beer, not how well it fits the style guideline. Gold Medal winners will notified in advance of the FBG Fest awards ceremony
Prizes and Awards
Credit for each beer will go to both the brewery and to the brewer of that particular beer. Entries will be graded on a score sheet modified to promote scores in the range of 60 to 100 points:

- Entries Scoring 80-89 points will receive a silver medal

For each keg of beer (1/2 bbl) donated by the BOS competitors, two complimentary tickets to the Brewer's Ball will be given to the brewery.
Categories
All beers will be judged according to the style specified by the brewer on the entry form, although little emphasis will be devoted to strict style adherence on the BFBC evaluation sheets. World Beer Cup Style Guidelines will be used, providing a much broader range of categories. If the brewer wishes to enter a new style of beer not previously categorized he must write the description of this beer in sufficient detail for the judges. Some historical or specialty beers may fit into such a category .
Cost
The fee is $35.00 per entry. Please use the 'Buy It Now' buton below for this fee. Proceeds from the commercial competition will be used to promote craft brewing in the state of Florida.
Entry Requirments
Two samples of beer will be required, each at least 12 ounces. Each entry is required to have its State of Florida Brand number or the Date of First Tapping (if served at a Brewpub) and months that it is available for enjoyment by Florida consumers if it is a seasonal. Beers will be served to the judges "blind" so the type of container of the entry will not be an issue. Cans, bottles, kegs, PET bottles with carbonators will all be accepted. Entries will be sent to:
