Homebrew Circuit - Cider & Mead

Circuit Events

Best Florida Beer will manage the official homebrew - Cider/Mead circuit points calculations. This page will be updated with results from each competition, along with a running tally of points for individual brewers and homebrew clubs.

The official circuit competitions include:

Cider/Mead Maker of the Year Rules:

1. Eligibility: You must be a resident of Florida to participate.

2. Scoring: Points are awarded for medals earned in official circuit competitions:

• Gold = 3 points

• Silver = 2 points

• Bronze = 1 point

3. NHC Inclusion: Medals from NHC Regionals do not count toward circuit points, but NHC Finals medals will be included and counted as double.

4. Only BJCP-recoginized styles will earn points.

5. Tiebreakers: In the event of a tie, the following criteria will be used, in order:

• Number of gold medals

• Number of silver medals

• Number of bronze medals

• Number of medals won in the BFBC Homebrew Competition

• Rock, Paper, Scissors Best out of 3.

Homebrew Club of the Year:

1. Note these cider/mead points are added to the Homebrew Club of the Year. They are reflected on the running document on the Homebew Circuit link.
